This program is co-convened with the School of Police Leadership. It is developed for  senior police managers and offers a carefully calibrated balance between: (a) development of personal competencies (with modules on leadership, philosophy and religion, coping with risk and crisis, culture and change as well as structured personal supervision); (b)  enhanced insight into social, political and public management structures and processes (with modules on societal change; technological futures; politics and government; internationalisation and globalisation; and organizations); (c) advanced police studies (modules on criminal investigation, crisis management and an individual study assignment).

The SLL programme is convened by professor Arie de Ruijter (Tilburg University) as academic dean and a senior police commissioner (rotating) who acts as professional dean. The program is managed by the School of Police Leadership.
